Mucho Importante!!!

Hello Internet,
I want to take a quick minute to talk about something very important, but first, ket me digress momentarily. Sometimes we hear about certain things so much that we get kind of jaded and forget the actual significance of it. With that being said, I live in Detroit Michigan. Yes THAT Detroit. Everyday around this city I see a lot of social issues. There are homeless people, houses that were burned down 17 years ago that nobody has felt the need to rebuild (or at least tear down....) I see prostitutes, and I have officially stopped watching the local news due to all the murders here. It just seems like people don't care anymore. They don't care about the lives of others, their children, themselves or the environment. Now I don't actually TALK to any of these people, but I KNOW that they don't care, because there is one thing even more common than violence on the streets of Detroit. LITTER. It really is sad to see, and I know this message has been preached to us time and time again, but it's like my Dad always told me, "If you don't learn your lesson the first time, the test will just keep coming up until you get it right" So yes, I like the rest of the world have had my fill of the "Going Green" campaign, but when I look around me, I realize that we clearly have not learned our lesson yet. So I encourage everyone to be the person who cares. Don't just be the one who says it, be the one who does it! There are so many ways to be.. well, greener! Buy reusable water bottles, make organic face masks (the are cheaper and better for your skin anyway) USE your recycling bin! We all know the techniques, let's care enough to USE them.
